Going Groupon?
Social buying websites are the newest craze among online deal seekers. These sites have done an excellent job in demonstrating the power of group buying and social media marketing. Social buying sites rely on group buying to lower the cost of goods and services; thus, providing customers with great deals and local companies with opportunities for new business. Social media sharing icons within social buying sites also enable customers to share deals with their social networks while instantly increasing businesses’ reach.
“The best thing about Groupon is the immediate exposure utilizing the various Social Media outlets,” said Space owner John Hill. “Exposure (PR, marketing, networking, etc.) was costly, took far too long, and it wasn't always the full representation of a business prior to Groupon and Social Media; Groupon has a solid product that works.”
As the founder of SpaFitFinder.com, a local salon, spa and health facility deal finding website, showcasing fitness and beauty deals is one of my primary goals. I’ve found that Groupon is one of the most popular, effective and cost efficient way to market a business. If you’re thinking about participating in a Social Buying deal, here are some helpful tips on what to expect.
1. Don’t expect leads. Most sites will not give you the contact information of the people who purchase your deal. So, don’t expect a list of potential clients to reach out to.
2. Get your website up to par. Social Buying deals are a huge website traffic driver, so if you’re going to do one make sure your website is up-to-date and looking good.
3. Expect to be busy…really busy for the next month after the Social Buying site features your establishment.
4. Train your staff accordingly. Make sure your employees know and understand the terms and conditions of your deal. Also make sure you have enough staff to cover the influx of customers from your deal.
5. Expect potential new customers, not profits. Due to the discounted rates of Social Buying deals, you’ll only be making about 25 percent profit off each purchaser. So consider your Social Buying-venture a new client marketing tool rather than a profit-maker.
6. Glorify your prospective clients experiences. Make your potential new clients’ experiences exceptional to entice them to come back, even without a discount.
John Hill provided further insight into being a Groupon business.
“Groupon users a fickle bunch; they want the best of everything for half (or less) of the cost. They will go to their favorite pizza place, if you don't ‘wow’ them the first time that they walk into your pizza joint.” said John Hill. “The odds are that the Groupon user is merely there for a deal, sample or special-occasion. It is up to you, as the savvy business owner, to convince them otherwise.”
For more marketing tips and social media advice join Spa Fit Finder and Red Hot Marketing for S. E. X. Y Marketing, a Marketing Expose on August 9th at Terroir Wine Pub in Scottsdale from 11am to 1pm.
Cost of event is $12. Participants will enjoy a light lunch, glass of wine and marketing tips relevant for spas, salons and health facilities.

Time To Get Primal
In the last few months, I’ve met some truly great people through Spa Fit Finder. I’ve also experienced awesome services, tried stellar products, practiced yoga with great teachers and worked out with amazing trainers. Among one of my favorite experiences was working out with Amen from Amen Zone in North Scottsdale.
As an ex-rugby player from London who gave up his full-time corporate job to pursue his dream, Amen’s story is unique. Amen, who just opened his second gym in North Scottsdale, offers a one-of-a-kind work. His gym, Amen Zone, isn’t your typical gym; it’s a primal fitness center that uses recycled tires as well as body strength and movement to tone muscles and burn fat.
I’m not going to lie, I was a little intimidated for my one-on-one training session with Amen. He’s about three times my size and in great shape, I was worried I wouldn’t be able to keep up. Amen proved me wrong. I loved the workout and his energy. His positive reinforcement throughout the training kept me going the whole time. His kind words made me want to push myself harder than ever. During the workout we did all kinds of exercises using tires, logs and even some boxing. By the end of our session, I was exhausted but could not wait to do it again...on a different day of course.
If you are looking to bring your fitness to the next level, I would highly recommend an organic workout with Amen.
Amen also offers numerous group fitness options. Visit Amenzone.net for classes schedule or call 480-205-6120 schedule a one-on-one training session.

Ageless Anti-aging Treatment- Microcurrent Review
Ageless Anti-aging Treatment
You’re never too young to start anti-aging treatments. This was my perfect excuse to get a Microcurrent Facial by Olga at Bella Tu Day Spa in Scottsdale.
Olga began the treatment by dipping my hands and feet in paraffin wax. She then cleaned my skin with Esente products, applied a gel to my face and started the microcurrent treatment. Olga brushed the two wands of the microcurrent machine against my face to stimulate collagen, tighten my skin and remove wrinkles. I had bags under my eyes, so after the microcurrent Olga applied a clay masque to reduce them. I also enjoyed a great foot massage while the masque did its magic.
The microcurrent machine left my skin looking tighter and gave it a great glow. In addition, the treatment was one of the most relaxing I’ve had in a while. Olga’s energy is great, and she goes the extra mile by massaging your arms, legs and back. Plus, the complimentary paraffin treatment left my hands and feet as smooth as can be. I would suggest this treatment to anyone, but especially to those who want to remove wrinkles without a facelift.
About Microcurrent Treatments
Microcurrent facelift treatments are a noninvasive alternative to surgery and have become one of the most sought-after treatments for sagging skin, complexion revival and removal of superficial lines and wrinkles. After just one microcurrent facelift session, skin appears tighter and firming with full results after 10-12 treatments.
Microcurrent technology delivers extremely-mild electrical currents deep into the skin’s surface, triggering collagen production and natural skin repair. Clinical studies show that microcurrent facials also trigger the production of amino acids, which accelerate cell production and repair.
Bella Tu Day Spa is located at:
11015 North Scottsdale Rd. Ste. 101
(between Scottsdale Road and Shea)
To book your Microcurrent Facial with Olga, call (480) 922-5757.

Simmer Down at Sutra
I happened to be in downtown Phoenix last night near SUTRA Midtown Yoga and decided to stop in for a class. I had been to SUTRA before to chat with the owner Matthew about Spa Fit Finder. More than just a yoga studio, STURA is a hip little place, offering a super chill and relaxing atmosphere with art, beverages, snacks and a lounge area. SUTRA has also added their own flavor to yoga with Yoga Fusions and Bar/Ballet classes, which I am dying to try.
Tonight’s class was at 5:45, the perfect time to distress after a long 8 to 5. The yoga teacher Alexis welcomed me and checked me in. Alexis began the class with an inspiring story with a great message that was reiterated consistently throughout the class. Alexis emphasized that yoga is different every time you practice and for every person, which makes listening to your body and focusing on your individual practice so important. I have been doing yoga every week for some time now and each time I look for this message.
I have noticed major changes in my body and mind since I started practicing yoga more frequently. I feel more confident in my poses, my flexibility has increased and my practice takes me to a calm and euphoric place. Yoga has become a huge part of my life. If you don’t believe me on the benefits of yoga, I encourage you to try it for yourself. Visit SpaFitFinder.com to determine which type of yoga is best for you.
SUTRA frequently posts discounted classes on SpaFitFinder.com, so check us out find yoga deals at SUTRA!
If you’re staying in town this weekend, check out First Friday downtown on June 2nd and enjoy art, wine, appetizers and check out Shawn Anderson Unplugged at SUTRA. Party starts at 7pm. Visit Facebook for more details on First Friday.

AZ Permanent Beauty Makeup & Skin Review
The drying Arizona summer tends to be quite an issue for my skin. To quench my thirsty pours, I decided to get a Microdermabrasion facial at AZ Permanent Beauty Makeup & Skin in Scottsdale. Located in Crown Court Apartment Complex, AZ Permanent Beauty Makeup & Skin offers apartment residents and locals access to great aesthetic services, products and prices.
When I arrived, I parked by the clubhouse and pool and found my way into the community center. One of the sales officers pointed me in the right direction and I was off to get my service. Eveline the owner of AZ Permanent Beauty Makeup and Skin got me situated and started my service. Eveline started by cleansing my face, applying a few masks and doing extractions. Eveline then applied a toner and started the diamond microdermabrasion, which is a non-invasive procedure that revitalizes dull skin, reduces large pores, erases fine lines and wrinkles, acne scars, (hyperpigmentation), stretch marks and age spots.
The microdermabrasion treatment was actually relaxing and left my skin looking rejuvenated and completely exfoliated. And, the products she used smelled amazing. Eveline uses all medical grade products including Rhonda Allison, Skin Skript and Topix.
In addition to providing a satisfying experience, AZ Permanent Beauty Makeup & Skin’s prices are hard to beat. If you are looking for an aesthetician in North Scottsdale, give Eveline a call at (480) 415-8880.

Neos MedSpa Dysport Review
I got Botox about a year ago and didn’t have the best experience - my forehead bubbled, which was both ugly and worrisome. Since then, I have undergone the needle again, this time at different place, and got great results. However, with my unsteady experience with Botox, I decided to try the newest injectable wrinkle reducer Dysport.
I made an appointment at Neos med spa in Fashion Square Mall last Thursday before the Spa Fit Finders Primp Me. Prep Me. Shoot Me. Event. I was a little bit worried that my injection sites would be noticeable and I’d get a headache. However, I put my reservations aside and went to my appointment.
When I walked into Neos Med Spa, I was welcomed by the darling and friendly office manager Casey. I filled out my paperwork and started chatting with the woman next to me. She was also at Neos for a Dysport treatment and was ranting and raving about both Neos and Dysport. She boasted that Dysport not only keeps her looking good but also helps with headaches and sleeping problems. My Dysport-uncertainty quickly turned into sheer excitement.
Dr. Roman Chybaty then took me back and told me that the ratio for Dysport to Botox is about 2.5 to 1, so I would need more units than Botox, but the results would appear quicker. Dr. Chybaty’s assistant cleaned off my forehead and did the injections where Dr. Chybaty directed her to. It was virtually pain free, and I was in and out of the office in less than 15 minutes. To my surprise, I didn’t have a headache and my injection sites disappeared in less than 20 minutes.
I started to notice the results right away. My entire forehead and between my brows is completely smooth. I highly recommend Neos Med Spa for Dysport.
Neos Med Spa also offers laser hair removal, skin rejuvenation, LipoDissovle, age spots treaments, Botox, spider vein treatments, tattoo removal and skin care.

North Scottsdale Dental Review
Grand Office. Great Staff. Beautiful Results.
Teeth are one of the first things I notice about people. I don’t think there is anything better than a bright white inviting smile, which is why I am dedicated to keeping my pearly whites clean and healthy.
I’ve been on the hunt for a new experienced dentist with affordable pricing because I no longer have dental insurance. Dr. Brandon Kroll of North Scottsdale Dental was referred to me by a good friend of mine, so I decided to visit his office for a teeth cleaning.
When I arrived, I was greeted by the office manager Nikki, filled out my paperwork and was taken back right away for my appointment. Bree, the dental hygienist, was very inviting and informative, explaining every step of the cleaning process in detail. Some of the equipment at North Scottsdale Dental was new to me, so Bree educated me on all the new tools. My favorite was the Cavitron, a dental tool that uses high frequency sound waves to clean teeth. Bree also shared some best practices for brushing and flossing.
As soon as my teeth were cleaned, Dr. Brandon Kroll came into the treatment room, introduced himself and took a look at my x-rays. He is very pleasant and more concerned with your wellbeing than recommending services you don’t absolutely need. Dr. Kroll then prescribed me a treatment plan and I checked out and wad heading home – all in less than an hour.
I would recommend Dr. Kroll at North Scottsdale Dental for anyone in the Scottsdale area looking for an experienced, educated and caring dentist.
For first time clients, North Scottsdale Dental offers a complimentary introductory exam and x-rays, $76 dollar teeth cleaning and $120 lifetime bleaching, which includes teeth whitening trays and bleach syringes.

Bikram Yoga Tempe Review
The Hot Summer Workout - Bikram Yoga
Between the too hot to hold steering wheel, the oven-like atmostphere outside and over-air conditioned stores, there isn’t too much to love about the AZ summer heat. Fortunately, Bikram Yoga Tempe puts a new twist on summer sizzle offering hot yoga classes that burn fat and calories, tone the body and increase strength and flexibility while helping you sweat out toxins.
I had no idea what to expect in my first Bikram Yoga class. While I had been to many yoga classes before, I had never experienced hot or Bikram yoga. When I walked in, I felt a little overwhelmed, nervous and out of place. That didn’t last long as I was quickly greeted by owner Elaina Zorensky, who introduced me to the gym and set me up with a two-week unlimited pass.
When class began, everyone was extremely focused and engaged in practice, despite the 105 degree temperature of the room. Unlike traditional yoga classes, I got a complete workout including strength, cardio and stretching. In fact, I wore my heart rate monitor and was excited to discover burned over 500 calories during the hour and a half class. Not bad, right? I also learned that Bikram Yoga benefits additionally include anti-aging, discipline, improved circulation and hormone level balance.
Bikram Yoga Tempe’s staff is extremely welcoming, friendly and outgoing, making the experience even better. I have also learned a lot about my body in just the few times I’ve gone. I would recommend Bikram Yoga of Tempe to anyone looking for a great workout!

From a Oh-No to the Perfect Glow- Glow Skin and Body Studio Facial Review
Located on Ray Road and 44th Street in Phoenix in a secluded office building is the place perfect to sneak in for a relaxing facial - Glow Skin and Body Studio. Decorated with relaxing and comfortable furnishings Glow Skin and Body Studio makes you feel right at home with a cozy waiting room couch and music videos playing on a flat screen TV. I was furthered welcome by my favorite skincare product lines and an extremely knowledgeable and helpful staff.
My skin had been spastic for about 2 weeks, so I was very excited for my facial with Glow Skin and Body Studio owner Jessica. Jessica began by assessing my skin, asking me several questions to gain a better understanding of my complexion and determine a remedy for my recent breakout. Jessica started my facial by cleansing my skin with Rhonda Allison's Pumpkin Cleanser. She then applied a combination Rosehip and Maize Masque and Lime Stimulating Masque, both from Eminence Organic Skin Care Line. After my mask, Jessica did some extractions and used the LED Light before applying two more masks, including the amazing smelling Raspberry Pore Refining Masque, to help calm my skin. Jessica ended my treatment with Biodynamic Bearberry eye cream, Echinacea recovery cream, lip balm and Eminence Face Powder with SPF 30 (find it on SFF’s Summer Top 10 Product List)
The 90-minute facial not only whipped my skin into shape but included an arm and leg massage. I was completely relaxed, breakout-free and ready the night's Spa Fit Finder event at Terrior Wine Pub.
After the facial, I bought the Stone Crop Cleanser by Eminence and have been using it ever since my treatment. It has been six days, and my skin is clearing up more every day...and all thanks Jessica at Glow Skin and Body Studio.

Want to get your sweat on without a side of stares? It’s hard enough to get off the couch and go to the gym and the ogles and prying eyes from guys make hitting the gym that much harder. So, when a friend told me about the girls-only gym Luna Fitness, I was quick to check it out.

Naked Beauty Spray Tan Review
Palms Down, Arms Out, Lift Your Leg, Hold Your Breath…sound familiar? Im sure for most you that have ventured out to get a custom spray tan those commands sound very familiar. I was on the hunt for a new spray tan studio so I stopped by Naked Beauty on Indian Bend and Scottsdale Road to check it out.
Let’s be honest everyone looks better tan. There is something about a deep dark radiating tan that gives us an overall glow. Since I frequent all kinds of local pool parties during the summer I decided to jump start my tan. Naked Beauty opened last November; it’s super clean and pristine which is very important to me. To be honest I hadn’t every been to a studio that was strictly for spray tan which I think is a great idea especially because I am not a fan of tanning beds. Plus, with their monthly membership offerings it’s very affordable.
When I walked in I met Holly, the owner, she is awesome. Holly introduced me to Oxana who did my spray. She took me back, got me situated and started in on my tan after applying lotion to my fingernails, toenails, elbows and ankles. Oxana knew exactly what she was doing, sprayed every inch of my body evenly and with all the right techniques so the product was smooth and even. Even with her customizing the spray to my body, my tan only took about 15 minutes.
As the day progressed so did my tan. Honestly, I was black. I took a picture and sent it to one of my best friends because I was so dark. I was a little worried my skin was going to stay super dark but I showered that night before dinner (about 8 hours after my spray) and my color was perfect.
I would highly recommend checking Naked Beauty out for the perfect spray. Call to schedule your $29 introductory tan today.

Pilates Review at Troon Mountain Fitness
Troon Mountain Fitness is a great secluded gym off of Jomax and Alma School Road in North Scottsdale. The gym is small enough to where it feels exclusive but big enough so you are not crammed in. All of the equipment is nice and the gym is very clean.
I was introduced to Peggy when I arrived; her personality was exactly how I had imagined. She is very upbeat, extremely positive and very fit. Peggy is in great shape, she has been teaching Pilates for many years and is extremely knowledgeable on what types of exercises individuals should do to meet their individual goals.
I love an aggressive workout so I wasn’t too sure if Pilates would be my thing but I was wrong. While I didn’t break a sweat the first time around I’m sure next time I venture into a Pilates studio one of the 500 different Pilates exercises will get me going. Peggy knew it was my first Pilates session so she showed me a bunch of different exercises on 3 different machines; my session was more like a Pilates 101, which I needed. Peggy definitely showed me the benefits of Pilates and showed me how you can actually get a great workout during Pilates by adding more weight and harder exercises.
I really enjoyed our session, I would definitely go back to Peggy, and she is a great teacher and really knows her stuff. If you are in the area and are looking for a new gym, make Troon Mountain Fitness your new home. Troon Mountain fitness also offers yoga, zumba, step aerobics and many other group fitness or personal fitness options.

Esente Review
I met Victoria Nash a few months ago at an event and was instantly memorized by her milky and flawless skin. In fact, you’d never guess Victoria is a grandmother of 10! I quickly learned Victoria’s secret: she has her own skin care line Esente, made of a unique Physioceutical® grade blend.
After working as an aesthetician and using countless products and never really being satisfied with one in particular, Victoria formulated her own skincare line. The goal behind Victoria’s line was to remove any ingredients that are incompatible with the human skin, a process called chiral correctness.
I tried the Esente Essentials Kit for Sensitive Skin, a five daytime and four nighttime product-regime including Enzopro Gentle Excellerator, Hydro-Derm Infusion, Hydro-Derm Infusion, Hydro-Totale Moisture Equalizer, Red Volcanic Seaweed Complex, Derma-Defense SPF 30 and Night Repair.
The Enzopro Excellerator is very gentle yet effective day and evening use cleanser. The Red Volcanic Seaweed Complex restored and healed my skin in troubled areas while hydrating at the same time. I had a small amount of discoloration on my upper lip area, which the complex has lightened up.
As we all know, SPF 30 is require for our faces, especially in Arizona. It’s usually hard for me to find a SPF 30 that isn’t greasy or oily, but Esente Derma Defense SPF 30 is actually very light and fragrance-free. Also, it doesn’t feel cakey after putting on you makeup.
Esente Bio- Boost Lip Enhancer is my absolute favorite product, it even made the SFF Summer Top 10 Product List –(link to the blog). Esente’s Bio Boost Lip Enhancer, plumps the lips while moisturizing them and protecting against UV damage. The enhancer is also clear for a fresh and clean look.
Spa Fit Finder Discount Alert: Visit Esente online in June and receive $20.00 off an order of $75.00 or more and $40.00 off an order of $150.00 or more. Use the promo code SFF123 for orders of $75.00 and SFF456 for orders of $150.00 or more.
About Esente
EsentĂ© Physioceuticals believes that superior skincare should encompass both an everyday health regime as well as the professional services of aestheticians, dermatologists and cosmetic surgeons. As a result, Esente has designed a unique Physioceutical® grade blends that represents the best of both worlds.

Cynthia Love Massage Review
For my birthday last week, I decided to treat myself to a massage with Cynthia Love in Scottsdale. When I arrived, Cynthia greeted me with a balloon and a hug. I instantly felt her caring and positive aura. Cynthia took me back to her massage room and got me situated. I was quickly relaxed when I laid down and took in the smell of lavender aromatherapy oils on the headrest.
Cynthia specializes in deep tissue massage, so with my upper back bothering me a bit, I had her focused on that area. Even though it was only a 90-minute massage, I walked out of the room feeling like I had been there for hours;my neck and back felt great and my body felt more limber. After my massage, I was feeling good and all ready for my birthday party.
Cynthia is truly a genuine person who is extremely educated. Cynthia knows the body and uses her caring nature to help people. I will be back to see Cynthia soon!

Lumilift Facial Review at Hanai Skin Care
I met Tina Seitz a few weeks back, and after gabbing about beauty, skin care lines and other girly favorites, Tina, the owner of Hanai Organic Skincare Studio, encouraged me to come in and try the non-invasive Lumilift® Facial. As a botox fan, I was instantly interested, and, since Lumilift is a natural and less invasive procedure, I had to try it out.
Tina said the Lumilift® facial is best to do before a big night out, so with the Spa Fit Finder Launch Party right around the corner, I booked my appointment for the day before the event. When I got to Hanai, located in Tina’s Arcadia home just minutes from the Phoenician Resort, I immediately felt relaxed. Tina has great energy and instantly made me feel comfortable.
I was even further calmed when I learned Tina is one of the few LME’s in town with the LumiLift® anti-aging device. The LumiLift® device delivers LED light energy and high frequency to stimulate collagen formation. It addresses deep facial creases caused by sagging muscles. By adding a facial to the use of the device, wrinkles are reduced, facial contour is tightened and undesirable pigmentation is eliminated. The LumiLift facial ultimately keep the face youthful without winkles and sagging without artificial look of surgical procedures.
Tina believes that the products we put on our skin should be as pure as the food we put in our bodies. Tina uses Image Skin Care, a great skincare line with great ingredients that focus on delaying the aging process. Some of the active ingredients in Image Skincare are argirelene, which relaxes muscles of facial expressions, Syncoll, which mimics mechanism that produce collagen, and Pepha Tight, which tightens skin and strengthens connective tissue.
The facial was amazing and left my skin looking radiant for the Spa Fit Finder launch. Not only was I completely spoiled by Tina’s facial, she actually gives an incredible neck, shoulder, hand, feet and calf massage during the treatment.
Tinas 90 minute LumiLift® Facial is just $125 - such a great deal for a facial and mini-massage.

An A+ Energy Boost From AS-10
Preparing for the Spa Fit Finder launch party had me running around town morning, noon and night. With little time and A LOT to do, my energy was in low supply. Thankfully, a few weeks before the Spa Fit Finder Launch Party, I found AS-10 Fusion Energy Shots from AZ Global Wellness.
AS-10 is a combination of five super fruits and five natural ingredients from NASA formulations blended to create a delicious yet powerful antioxidant drink. The main ingredient is Cupuaçu, which has been touted as the next big super fruit; other ingredients include açai, acerola, prickly pear and yum berry.
When the SFF Launch Party was about a week away and I was feeling particularly tired, I doubled up on my dosage. Not only did my energy increase, but my persistent stuffy nose and headache went away. Once the party was over, I continued taking the energy shots once a day, most often, before the gym. They give a great boost to my workout without leaving me full like some energy shots.
I loved AS-10 so much, I had to have them in Spa Fit Finder Launch Party gift bags. AZ Global Wellness was gracious enough to provide plenty for me to garnish guest with. I had several SFF party-goers tell me they used AS-10 to boost their Friday(and post-party morning) and felt great. I highly recommend AS-10 for energy and immune-boosting.

It Girl Spray Tan Review
$20 for 3 Tans! Why not? It Girl was featured on Groupon a few weeks ago, the deal was so good I couldn't pass it up. My regular spray girl charges $35-40 per tan, even though I know she is the best, I wanted give IT Girl a shot.
It Girl is located in the lower level of Sachi, which was another reason for my booking. I hadnt been in Sachi for years, it is darling and I love that they have a jewelry store and cafe.
Sherene, the owner of It Girl has her own little treatment room. She has decorated it really cute- its baby pink with 1960's inspired pinups. I liked the set up and the atmosphere. Her treatment room has a shower in it so she does the spray in the shower which is a really good idea.
My spray was really quick. They did it a little differently then Im used to but they did a pretty good job. Next time I go I will ask them to spray me twice so my skin gets a little darker and I will double check problem areas like my arms and ankles but Ill def go back and use my other sprays.
I would recommend It Girl if you are looking to get your tan on : )

AZ Holistic Health Center Review
I haven’t been to be the chiropractor in quite a number of years, as I am not a big fan of being poked and prodded. However, I was pleased when I walked into Dr. Marino Scafidi's modernly decorated, comfortable chiropractic office in Scottsdale.
All of Dr. Marino’s equipment and tactics are modern and ways-less intrusive then I remember. He started the treatment with some heat while I lied on a table that had rollers that massaged my spine. It really loosed my muscles and relaxed my back. After that, I received a percussion wave massage that further released my tightened muscles and joints. Dr. Marino ended the treatment with 15 minutes of chiropractic treatment mixed with myofacial release technique, trigger point terapy, and acupressure. This helped to align my back which greatly improved my mobility.
The treatment lasted about 45 minutes and my back was feeling loose and limber after the procedure. I would highly recommend visiting Dr. Marino’s office if you are suffering from any aches and pains, want to get adjusted or are looking for prevented care. Dr. Marino provides comprehensive treatment in a state of the art facility with a friendly, professional staff.

Buddha Walk Review
Last Thursday, I was lucky enough to spend the morning with an extremely talented man named Dhargya Lobsang. I was introduced to Dhargya, a former monk and innovator of an authentic Tibetan Treatment called Tibetan Yoginic Massage Therapy, a few weeks ago by a friend of mine. I decided to visit his studio after hearing rave reviews about his treatments, which increases energy, reduces tension and clears the mind and chakras.
I arrived at Dhargya’s studio dressed casually in yoga clothes and was immediately drawn to his calming energy and kind spirit. Dhargya took me back to his treatment room where he started his signature treatment, The Buddha-Sphere. The Buddha Sphere is a combination of healing techniques used to stretch muscles, open the circulatory system, align bones and loosen joints.
We began by stretching and shaking out my limbs to get my body warmed up and loose. After our warm up, Dhargya increased the intensity and had me do a series of poses, holding each until my body was completely exhausted. It isn’t until this exhaustion that your breath syncs and your body fully lets go of energy and tension. Some areas take a little longer to fully relax; and the treatment intensifies during the more heightened exercises, causing the muscle to shiver. I also had hot and cold sensations, tingling and numbness in some parts of my body throughout the treatment. Additionally, when Dhargya worked on certain areas, significant memories of places, people and scents came to mind. The exercises were strenuous and the memories weren’t always pleasant, but the exercises allowed me to let go of bad feelings and my body felt calm afterwards. After the two and a half hour session, my body was tired, but I felt amazing. The treatment got even more pleasant with an after treatment massage. Dhargya does a wave massage after each intense body treatment.
I left with an emotional high and high spirits but was extremely tired. After working with Dhargya, I would recommend taking the day to yourself to reflect on your experience and relax. My body felt more relaxed than I have ever been in my life; it also felt lighter, healthier and way more flexible. When I worked out the next morning, my body felt better than ever and I have Dhargya to thank. I would highly recommend this unique treatment; Dhargya truly has an amazing gift.
More on Dhargya
Dhargya Lobsang was born in Muli, Tibet, where his family practiced Tibetan healing. At the age of seven he became a Monk where he studied Buddhist scriptures and healing arts. In 1996, he was discovered and invited by a Western Buddhist practitioner to come to the U.S. He immigrated to Northern California where he shared his knowledge of the Healing Arts. Years later, he moved to Arizona and opened his own practice the Buddha Walk.
Dhargya specializes in ancient Tibetan Tantric Yoginic Healing. He has also studied Tai CHI, Chi Gong and Yoga with various Master’s from Tibet and India.

SPACE Massage Review
S P A C E is quiet, calming and extremely comfortable. While decorating John Hill, owner and operator of S P A C E, didn't miss a beat. The studio is nestled in Arcadia near La Grande, Postinos, and Radio Café, making it easy to walk over to 40th and Campbell to enjoy tea, coffee or a glass of wine after your treatment. The studio is polished with wood floors, natural lighting, a heated massage table, a beautiful waiting room and tons of fruit trees in back. The setting is not only comfortable but makes you feel right at home.
When I arrived John welcomed me into his home, we chatted about my day and then he showed me the studio. He quietly stepped out while I got situated on the comfy warm table. When John reentered, he started one of the most amazing massages I've ever had in my life.
Like many people, I am guilty of asking for a "deep tissue massage" every time I get a massage. Most of the time, I'll get an inexperienced technician that tries to kill me for the hour. But after an hour of intense pain and a few days of mild pain, it was worth it right? Up until this week I thought it was.
This time around, John showed me a different type of massage with no pain, less pressure, and better results. My massage was breathtaking. Not only did John change my whole perspective on massage, my body felt well than ever because of his knowledge and expertise. To say the massage was relaxing is a complete understatement; I floated out of S P A C E feeling 100% better- inside and out.
I would highly recommend a massage at S P A C E to anyone looking for a therapist, I guarantee S P A C E will be your last stop!

Delta In Skin
With SpaFitFinder.com officially launched and live, life has been more than crazy to say the least. So, in desperate need of a little R&R, I decided to treatment myself to a much needed facial at Delta In Skin.
I was running late and flustered when arrived at Delta In Skin in Paradise Valley but was quickly calmed by the relaxing music, candles, and aroma. The studio is awesome, Delta has unique art work on the walls, in fact the attached image is her signature.
Upon arrival, I wasn’t sure to the exact type of facial I wanted, but I knew it need to be relaxing, pampering and fabulous. Delta began by assessing my skin. She then advised me on my options and what she thought was best for my skin. We decided on the a one-hour cleaning facial with CO2.
Delta started by cleansing my skin and applying a few yummy masks. She followed that up with a few extractions. Then, after more detoxifying masks, she added a little bit of high frequency and some steam. She then applied the CO2, which was cold and tingly upon application, but well worth it as the C02 plumps and tightens the skin to reduce fine lines and improve skin’s appearance.
Thanks to Delta my skin is now glowing and fabulous. I highly recommend a Delta facial for stress-relief, pampering and great looking skin.

Ask an Esthetician
Spa Fit Finder would like to re-introduce you to our latest feature, Ask an Esthetician. Each Sunday Spa Fit Finder will release answers to some of YOUR top skin care questions to help you care for and understand your skin better. All you have to do is post a comment to our Ask an Esthetician blog with your skin care questions or email Sara@SpaFitFinder.com and we will post an answer to your questions the following Sunday.
Kara Pettis, a national and international trainer and certified massage therapist and esthetician brings with her many years of hands on training and experience in medical spas, day spas and wellness centers. She has been personally trained by Hungarian Masters in skin care technique and herb usage. Kara is passionate and takes pride in sharing her secrets for fantastic skin using natural skincare.
Question of the Week:
I don’t have a lot of money to spend on skin care, what less expensive items would you suggest? Also, while shopping for skin care products are there certain ingredients I should look for or avoid?
Always have the basics: cleanser, toner, moisturizer. If you really want to impact on improving on a certain skin condition, a concentrated serum is easy to sneak into your daily routine and can quickly improve the health of the skin.
While shopping, make sure to check the ingredient list on all products. I would reccomend staying away from the following ingredients:
Propylene Glycol
Parabens
Sodium Lauryl Sulfate
Aluminum
Benzene
DEA (diethanolamine)
Thanks,
Kara

My New Love for Tattoos
I’ve never wanted a tattoo, based on the fact that I’ve never loved anything enough to put it on my body forever. However, when I met permanent makeup artist Adriana Campbell my thoughts on marking myself eternally altered.
Adriana owns and operates her own practice, Permanent Makeup By Adriana Campbell, located in Arcadia. Adriana offers permanent makeup services for lips, eyes and eyebrows.
As a first time ink-recipient, I decided to start slow with eyeliner. Upon arrival I was understandably nervous. I was calmed when I sat in Adriana’s chair and she put soothing music on, lit some candles and applied a topical numbing ointment.
When Adriana began procedure, I was shocked; it felt like she was tracing my eye with a coarse makeup brush. It didn’t hurt! After awhile, the area grew a little sore, but it was totally bearable. At the end of the two-hour procedure, Adriana cleaned off the ointment, rinsed my eyes with saline solution and provided me with aftercare instructions - no makeup for three days and apply aloe ointment throughout the first few days. That's it!
My eyelids were a little tender for the rest of the first day but defiantly made a difference. The liner is not overly noticeable, but it makes my eyes pop. The second day, my eyes were a little puffy, but, by the third, my eyes were healed and looking great.
I go in for a touch-up in a week. On the second application, we will make the liner thicker; this procedure will also help the liner last.
I would highly recommend permanent makeup by Adriana; it’s affordable, saves time and money and looks fabulous.
Permanent Makeup By Adriana Campbell is located on 44th and Camelback Road in Defons Salon. To schedule an appointment with Adriana call 602-881-7248.

Next Aesthetics SilkPeel Review
Silk and Diamonds? Yes… Please!
I was invited into Next Aesthetics by Maureen, the founder, for a SilkPeel® treatment. I was excited but didn’t know what to expect. I tend to stay away from peels. Like a lot of people I associate peels with burning, pain and downtime. Not this treatment, the SilkPeel® has ZERO down time, doesn’t hurt or burn and is actually really relaxing.
When I got to Next Aesthetics, Maureen took me back to her treatment room and got me all situated. She educated me on the SilkPeel® and assessed my skin. We decided to do a light treatment because I don’t have acne scars or tons of wrinkles. The SilkPeel® can help soften fine lines, even skin pigmentation, increase smoothness, reduce acne and blackheads, and soften mild acne scars. It is designed to exfoliate and withdrawal toxins while infusing your skin with vitamins, nutrients, and antioxidants. The SilkPeel® machine is a closed-loop vacuum system, complete with a diamond treatment head. The treatment heads can be changed out based on the goal of the treatment; for extreme exfoliation or a deep treatment a more aggressive head will be used.
Maureen took the head of the machine and ran it over the surface of my skin. I felt a light wet suction sensation; it actually felt really good and was relaxing. When Maureen finished my face, she changed the machine head to a less aggressive attachment and treated around my eyes and lips. When Maureen was done with my lips she handed me a mirror, I was amazed my skin was glowing and my lips looked full and plump. I would highly recommend this treatment! Its been 2 days since my treatment and my skin still looks and feels amazing, I’m hooked!
Next Aesthetics is located in Scottsdale and Mesa. They also offers Botox and fillers, microderm and the HCG diet. To book your appointment or to inquire about prices, contact Maureen at 480.991.7639.
