Going Groupon?

Social buying websites are the newest craze among online deal seekers. These sites have done an excellent job in demonstrating the power of group buying and social media marketing. Social buying sites rely on group buying to lower the cost of goods and services; thus, providing customers with great deals and local companies with opportunities for new business. Social media sharing icons within social buying sites also enable customers to share deals with their social networks while instantly increasing businesses’ reach.

“The best thing about Groupon is the immediate exposure utilizing the various Social Media outlets,” said Space owner John Hill. “Exposure (PR, marketing, networking, etc.) was costly, took far too long, and it wasn't always the full representation of a business prior to Groupon and Social Media; Groupon has a solid product that works.”

As the founder of SpaFitFinder.com, a local salon, spa and health facility deal finding website, showcasing fitness and beauty deals is one of my primary goals. I’ve found that Groupon is one of the most popular, effective and cost efficient way to market a business. If you’re thinking about participating in a Social Buying deal, here are some helpful tips on what to expect.

1. Don’t expect leads. Most sites will not give you the contact information of the people who purchase your deal. So, don’t expect a list of potential clients to reach out to.

2. Get your website up to par. Social Buying deals are a huge website traffic driver, so if you’re going to do one make sure your website is up-to-date and looking good.

3. Expect to be busy…really busy for the next month after the Social Buying site features your establishment.

4. Train your staff accordingly. Make sure your employees know and understand the terms and conditions of your deal. Also make sure you have enough staff to cover the influx of customers from your deal.

5. Expect potential new customers, not profits. Due to the discounted rates of Social Buying deals, you’ll only be making about 25 percent profit off each purchaser. So consider your Social Buying-venture a new client marketing tool rather than a profit-maker.

6. Glorify your prospective clients experiences. Make your potential new clients’ experiences exceptional to entice them to come back, even without a discount.

John Hill provided further insight into being a Groupon business.

“Groupon users a fickle bunch; they want the best of everything for half (or less) of the cost. They will go to their favorite pizza place, if you don't ‘wow’ them the first time that they walk into your pizza joint.” said John Hill. “The odds are that the Groupon user is merely there for a deal, sample or special-occasion. It is up to you, as the savvy business owner, to convince them otherwise.”

Time To Get Primal

In the last few months, I’ve met some truly great people through Spa Fit Finder. I’ve also experienced awesome services, tried stellar products, practiced yoga with great teachers and worked out with amazing trainers. Among one of my favorite experiences was working out with Amen from Amen Zone in North Scottsdale.
As an ex-rugby player from London who gave up his full-time corporate job to pursue his dream, Amen’s story is unique. Amen, who just opened his second gym in North Scottsdale, offers a one-of-a-kind work. His gym, Amen Zone, isn’t your typical gym; it’s a primal fitness center that uses recycled tires as well as body strength and movement to tone muscles and burn fat.

I’m not going to lie, I was a little intimidated for my one-on-one training session with Amen. He’s about three times my size and in great shape, I was worried I wouldn’t be able to keep up. Amen proved me wrong. I loved the workout and his energy. His positive reinforcement throughout the training kept me going the whole time. His kind words made me want to push myself harder than ever. During the workout we did all kinds of exercises using tires, logs and even some boxing. By the end of our session, I was exhausted but could not wait to do it again...on a different day of course.

If you are looking to bring your fitness to the next level, I would highly recommend an organic workout with Amen.

Amen also offers numerous group fitness options. Visit Amenzone.net for classes schedule or call 480-205-6120 schedule a one-on-one training session.

Ageless Anti-aging Treatment- Microcurrent Review

Ageless Anti-aging Treatment

You’re never too young to start anti-aging treatments. This was my perfect excuse to get a Microcurrent Facial by Olga at Bella Tu Day Spa in Scottsdale.

Olga began the treatment by dipping my hands and feet in paraffin wax. She then cleaned my skin with Esente products, applied a gel to my face and started the microcurrent treatment. Olga brushed the two wands of the microcurrent machine against my face to stimulate collagen, tighten my skin and remove wrinkles. I had bags under my eyes, so after the microcurrent Olga applied a clay masque to reduce them. I also enjoyed a great foot massage while the masque did its magic.

The microcurrent machine left my skin looking tighter and gave it a great glow. In addition, the treatment was one of the most relaxing I’ve had in a while. Olga’s energy is great, and she goes the extra mile by massaging your arms, legs and back. Plus, the complimentary paraffin treatment left my hands and feet as smooth as can be. I would suggest this treatment to anyone, but especially to those who want to remove wrinkles without a facelift.

About Microcurrent Treatments

Microcurrent facelift treatments are a noninvasive alternative to surgery and have become one of the most sought-after treatments for sagging skin, complexion revival and removal of superficial lines and wrinkles. After just one microcurrent facelift session, skin appears tighter and firming with full results after 10-12 treatments.

Microcurrent technology delivers extremely-mild electrical currents deep into the skin’s surface, triggering collagen production and natural skin repair. Clinical studies show that microcurrent facials also trigger the production of amino acids, which accelerate cell production and repair.

Bella Tu Day Spa is located at:
11015 North Scottsdale Rd. Ste. 101
(between Scottsdale Road and Shea)

Simmer Down at Sutra

I happened to be in downtown Phoenix last night near SUTRA Midtown Yoga and decided to stop in for a class. I had been to SUTRA before to chat with the owner Matthew about Spa Fit Finder. More than just a yoga studio, STURA is a hip little place, offering a super chill and relaxing atmosphere with art, beverages, snacks and a lounge area. SUTRA has also added their own flavor to yoga with Yoga Fusions and Bar/Ballet classes, which I am dying to try.

Tonight’s class was at 5:45, the perfect time to distress after a long 8 to 5. The yoga teacher Alexis welcomed me and checked me in. Alexis began the class with an inspiring story with a great message that was reiterated consistently throughout the class. Alexis emphasized that yoga is different every time you practice and for every person, which makes listening to your body and focusing on your individual practice so important. I have been doing yoga every week for some time now and each time I look for this message.

I have noticed major changes in my body and mind since I started practicing yoga more frequently. I feel more confident in my poses, my flexibility has increased and my practice takes me to a calm and euphoric place. Yoga has become a huge part of my life. If you don’t believe me on the benefits of yoga, I encourage you to try it for yourself. Visit SpaFitFinder.com to determine which type of yoga is best for you.

SUTRA frequently posts discounted classes on SpaFitFinder.com, so check us out find yoga deals at SUTRA!

If you’re staying in town this weekend, check out First Friday downtown on June 2nd and enjoy art, wine, appetizers and check out Shawn Anderson Unplugged at SUTRA. Party starts at 7pm. Visit Facebook for more details on First Friday.

AZ Permanent Beauty Makeup & Skin Review

The drying Arizona summer tends to be quite an issue for my skin. To quench my thirsty pours, I decided to get a Microdermabrasion facial at AZ Permanent Beauty Makeup & Skin in Scottsdale. Located in Crown Court Apartment Complex, AZ Permanent Beauty Makeup & Skin offers apartment residents and locals access to great aesthetic services, products and prices.

When I arrived, I parked by the clubhouse and pool and found my way into the community center. One of the sales officers pointed me in the right direction and I was off to get my service. Eveline the owner of AZ Permanent Beauty Makeup and Skin got me situated and started my service. Eveline started by cleansing my face, applying a few masks and doing extractions. Eveline then applied a toner and started the diamond microdermabrasion, which is a non-invasive procedure that revitalizes dull skin, reduces large pores, erases fine lines and wrinkles, acne scars, (hyperpigmentation), stretch marks and age spots.

The microdermabrasion treatment was actually relaxing and left my skin looking rejuvenated and completely exfoliated. And, the products she used smelled amazing. Eveline uses all medical grade products including Rhonda Allison, Skin Skript and Topix.

In addition to providing a satisfying experience, AZ Permanent Beauty Makeup & Skin’s prices are hard to beat. If you are looking for an aesthetician in North Scottsdale, give Eveline a call at (480) 415-8880.
